My Lost Connection Series was born many years ago. Shortly after BT announced they would be removing 8000 telephone boxes around the country. At the time it seemed a little controversial as people were worried what would happen if they got stranded. The red phone box often a beacon of hope in the middle of nowhere. This was quite early on in the mobile phone era and no one was aware of how much they would take over our lives and how extensive their coverage would be. So this in mind I decided to go out across Yorkshire and several other parts of the country taking pictures of red phone boxes before they got ripped out. I think I still have around 200 phone box scenes recorded, this obsession lead to the Lost Connection Series. Mostly watercolour a few oils and a couple of sketches, these bright mostly square images covered a whole host of locations. On your Left you can see the latest Lost Connection, is off on a little tangent as it's actually a police box. Again these were common scenes many years ago, and were either repurposed or removed. This one in Earls Court is still there and is one of the very few that bare a resemblance to a certain doctors mode of transport!
Also several magazine articles and newspaper stories followed my quest.
