In 2010 I drew a picture of the London Routemaster bus driving over Westminster Bridge, the Houses of Parliament can be seen in the background. The background was pale graphite and the bus itself was bright red, the contrast burst out, and inspired the rest of the Touch of Red Collection. It has become one of my most popular series in recent years and every now and then I will add another. I like to put a classic vehicle in these pictures, or a British icon such as a phone box or post box if they are there in real life.
On this page are all the works in the series please take a look below.
Earlier this year I was asked by the Sunday Times to participate in a story. The story was done in conjunction with LNER and was about how a train journey could inspire you, it was great fun to do and involved a photo shoot on a train. As part of the story I drew the picture Bar Humbug which you can see here. It features a red Beatle classic car and red balloons which can often be seen over the city.
